CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013-2014
Members enjoyed two days of fabulous bowling, as the Finals were played in perfect conditions. The first day saw comfortable wins for Alan Hall, Dave Gardiner, Helen Hall and Nick Cole in the Rinks, Harry Chick, Gail Chick and Trevor Neale in the Triples and Wendy Symonds with Chris Evans in the Ladies Pairs. On Saturday Harry Chick notched up his second win by edging out Jonathan Barr in the Veterans Singles while Clive English took the Mixed Singles and Diane Hughes with Nick Cole picked up the Mixed Pairs. The last session saw Harry Chick achieve his hat trick of trophies when he partnered John Coates to win the Gents Pairs. The two singles finals were worthy of top billing with Halina Leeder only going in front in the last few ends to win by three shots over Diane Wynne. The Gents Singles saw our Spanish National Singles Champion, Tony McKenna, take on Greg Sperring in another enthralling match. Tony eventually held off Greg to win by two shots. Captain Barry Jowett thanked our sponsors Black Tower for their support and Club Championships organisers Jan & Alan Phillips for their hard work in producing a wonderful Championships.Members enjoyed two days of fabulous bowling, as the Finals were played in perfect conditions.
