The Ladies Pairs promised to be a really close affair with Jean McLaughlin and Dee Hamilton taking on Maria Morawiec and Velia Wood and after 7 ends it was exactly that with the scoreboard showing 8-7 in favour of Maria and Velia. The next 4 ends proved to be critical as Jean and Dee picked 7 shots and although they dropped a few shots in the next couple of ends they finished strongly to win 21-12.
