Jávea Green Bowls Club Members and Committee, are able to extend a warm welcome this week to Carol, Brian and their son Chad, who between them are taking over the Management of the Inn on the Green.
The family moved to Spain some 15 years ago and may be recognisable to some of you from their early years in Bombers Bar in Jávea, and more recently in Carol’s Kitchen, which was established 7 years ago in the Jávea Port indoor market.
A reputation for good wholesome food, a friendly atmosphere and a hard working approach to the business, has led them to seek out this new opportunity.
I spoke to Brian and Chad about their plans for the future at the IOG. Carol was busy in the kitchen preparing lunch, and they assured me that the JGBC Members would always be at the forefront of any decisions concerning activities at the Club. Once they have settled and Covid restrictions are lifted, they look forward to the return of an extended Friday “Fish n Chip” menu served in our wonderful courtyard, Sunday lunches, broadcasting live sport on tv and much longer bar opening hours.
Finally, I am sure I am speaking for all Members when I wish them the very best of luck with this new venture. Better still, why not make a visit to the Club, have a drink and introduce yourself, I am sure you will receive a warm welcome.
