Our Club Championships got under way with the Drawn Aussie Pairs and what a match it was. Robin and Dave raced into an early lead and maintained their dominance through to the 10th end leading 13-2. Jeff and Jean then picked up a 4 and a 5 to get back into the match but it still looked out of reach. Trailing 17-12 with just 2 ends to play they picked up a 4 and went into the last end just 1 behind. Could they do it, the Members watching were on the edge of their seats, but as it turned out the match was secured by Robin and Dave who won 19-16. If every Final is this good we are in for a treat over the next few days. Tomorrow, Thursday, we have the Rinks in the morning and the Ladies Pairs and Gents Pairs in the afternoon.
